Theodore was about to sit with Rose, Icy and his Mom before he just decided to stand by the door and just watch.

Cara had Rose sat down on her lap while she brushed her thin shot blond hair with the soft bristles of a little pink brush.

Rose was doing the same as she brushed Icy's fur.

Cara's face had the blissful smile of a proud mother with a bright and caring glint in her eyes.

Building a house with her husband had indeed distracted her from the thought of her son ignoring her calls and not bothering to check-in on them as he uses to but a faint emptiness was there.

It's the same for Mark, he has also missed the regular updates that they used always get from Theodore which would be at least once a week.

Mark and Cara had been waiting patiently for the day Theodore would visit with his new family although the family is missing a member it is nonetheless a joyous occasion.

Theodore went into the kitchen and looked through the fridge and freezer before getting himself a gla.s.s of water.

Theodore asked what his parents want most "So mom, I was wondering if we could stay the night"

"Really, you want to stay? Of course it just so happens that we have a spare room that has a large bed and a cot" Said Cara excitedly

"Great, I saw some leftover ham with its bone in the fridge, by any chance can you make Irish Hearty Ham Soup for dinner? I've tried cooking it before but it never turns out how you make it," Asked Theodore

"I'd love to," Said, Cara with watery eyes.

The simple request that seemed like nothing gave her that warm feeling of being needed once again by her son.

Theodore knew that the one thing his parents wanted most was that feeling of parenting.

Time pa.s.sed quickly as they had a small lunch put Rose down for a nap before Mark finally decided to bring up Theodore's stream.

"Hey, Cara read this, who would have thought that our son would become a ladies man," Said Mark while showing Cara his phone with a screenshot of the stream.

"Theo, who are these women?" Said Cara after reading the thirsty chat messages

'What the f.u.c.k dad, are you trying to kill me' Thought Theodore while starting at his dad in shock to which Mark replied with a chuckle and a shrug.

"It's just my job mom. No, not in that sense. Umm, I'm a streamer, people get to watch me live while I entertain them with magic, stories etcetera. Really, mom, there is nothing s.e.xual involved" Said Theodore in a fl.u.s.tered tone

Cara gave an understanding nod before saying "Can you explain why a lot of them are calling you 'daddy' and the use of the emojis?"

"It's just a joke mom don't take it seriously," Said Theodore while avoiding eye contact.

"They call him daddy because Theo is the All-Mighty Dad hahaha. Sorry give me a minute hahaha *Cough* Now the emoji is something I have done research on. Ahem okay, the cuc.u.mber ? is the male reproductive organ, the water droplets ? are meant to signify that the lady commenting is 'ready' for the cuc.u.mber per se. The tongue ? is self-explanatory while the peach ? is the rear end of the human biology and the melons ? well I think even you know it" Said, Mark with a tone that resembles that of a scholar

"And how exactly do you know about this?" Asked Cara with a small vain bulging from her forehead

"Did you forget I'm an investigator it's my job to know cryptic messages like this" Said Mark proudly

"So dad where are you working at at the now?" Asked Theodore

"Well, I'm working at the Beverly Hills police department as the chief investigator currently taking week break," Said Mark

"That's great! What about your mom, anything new happened?" Asked Theodore

"After you left home I took a cla.s.s on law and sat the bar exam in 2018. And now I work at a small law firm called Jephson Law" Said Cara

Theodore stared at his mom with wide eyes and his mouth open.

"Shocking, right? From housewife to a promising lawyer. She's even making more than me. I can't be any prouder" Said, Mark before giving Cara a bright smile

"Any interesting clients?" Asked Theodore eagerly

"Nah mostly just called on to look over contracts. I did have a weird case where women were pressing r*pe charges" Said Cara

"what's weird about that?" Asked Theodore confusedly

"Sigh, the r*pe happened in her dream. The case was odd as it had occurred before with the women actually winning and sending an innocent man into prison. I was still fairly new to the scene and had no understanding of the mind games portion of the trial but after discussing it with some co-workers I managed to pull through and win the case for the accused man" Said Cara

"That really happened?" Asked Theodore in a shocked tone

"Yeah, and there's plenty of similar fake r*pe cases every year," Said Cara with a disappointed tone

"That's really sad truthfully. What about you dad any interesting cases?" Asked Theodore

"Well, just a thief who has a weird sense of humour. The papers are calling him The House Flipper. The thief likes to put everything upside-down, from little thing like like salt shaker to beds and couches, " Said, Mark

"Hmm anything else to go on, cause it sounds like its a group of thieves," Said Theodore

"We figured it was a group. Most of the victims have been middle-cla.s.s youngsters with ages between 20 to 25. The victims mostly renters living in Ashcroft ave" Said, Mark

"Why steal from a bunch of middle-cla.s.s youngsters who are renting. Dad, how many young 20ish investigators on your team?" Asked Theodor

"None mostly a bunch of 30-year-olds, why?," Said Mark

"Because I think the reason why you haven't found them is that you don't have a new set of eyes that can see it from a different direction. Your perspective is that you're just dealing with a child but from the perspective of someone from of the 21st Century than I would say that it's all for clout basically internet fame. You get your team to check on the victim's online presence before and after the robbery. You might find something there" Said Theodore

"Your onto something. I'm gonna call my team. Here Cara watch Theodore's stream" Said, Mark before sharing the streaming video from his phone onto the T.V

Cara watched his first ever stream with Theodore on the side drawing in his Sole Pierce sketchbook.

3 hours pa.s.sed with Cara constantly voicing her shock to seeing the Silhouettes performance.

Cara grabbed Theodore by the shoulder and said with a steel gaze "Theo be honest did you join a cult?"

"No mom it's just some props," Said Theodore

"Good, well I'm really proud of you Theo. The date on this stream is the same the day you called and said you and that hussy divorced. Looks like you stepped up in your own way to make money and spend quality time with Rose. You're doing great Theo, if it ever gets too much we're here" Said, Cara sincerely while squeezing Theodore's hands

Theodore felt like a weight was lifted off as he replied "Thanks mom"

"Make sure you remember we're family you can ask for the world and

"Hold up I'm joining, I really want to cook it for Rose," Said Theodore

"What will Rose eat" Ask Cara

"No need to worry mom, she eats everything I eat, she not a fan of baby food," Said Theodore

"You do know baby food is specifically made with the intention to strengthen the baby," Said Cara while looking through the fridge

"Yes, but it was too expensive so I made food that does the same thing while also making sure make up for any loss with blending a bunch of healthy juices," Said Theodore

"Well its seems to work, she's very same and is even stronger than I'd expect, must be that Irish blood she got from you," Said, Cara playfully before pulling all the necessary ingredients

"Hopefully she doesn't inherit the drinking side of the blood," Said Theodore jokingly

"Hahaha, we can only hope" Said Cara as she starts to cook and teach Theodore

After an hour and thirty minutes of hard work, food was read and Rose was once again awake.

They had dinner and talked about some things like him being a Type2 power holder and his Citibank save.

Time pa.s.sed quickly with the Hunt family going to bed.

Cara had Rose share the big Queen sized bed as she read her a bedtime story from the Rose's Tales sketchbook.

Theodore and Mark were sleeping in the living room.

Mark was on the couch which was now a couch bed.

Theodore was on the carpet in a sleeping bag with a pillow just below Marks feet.

"You were right, The House Flipper was just a method to gain some fame the so-called victims will be charged for wasting police time and for providing false information," Said Mark while resting his head back into his pillow and setting up the T.V

"What is wrong with people I was actually hoping my hunch was wrong," Said, Theodore sadly

"Well, it doesn't matter we solved the case and stopped any further panic from spreading. That was some fine detective work for such little information" Said Mark

"Nah if you had an individual that was moderately up to date with the Internet then he or she would have also noticed it immediately," Said Theodore

"Don't worry it's already happening two my members have decided to resign. I should be having some youngster just as stupid and annoying as you, soon an enough" Said, Mark teasingly

"It's fine cause their prehistoric chief can just give them some much-needed wisdom," Said Theodore

"Who are you call prehistoric?" Said Mark before he punched Theodore's arm

"Ouch who's stupid," Said Theodore before also punching Mark in the arm.

"Ouch, you've really improved. Okay so what will it be a Die Hard Marathon or a Lethal Weapon Marathon" Said Mark while showing the options on the T.V

"Well I still have to do my morning exercise so let's go with a Lethal Weapon," Said Theodore as he props his head upon the pillow

"Okay, Lethal Weapon," Said Mark before starting the first movie
