Ragnee lay my hands on my lap as she gently let go,

Releasing the build-up tension inside the room.

"I will let you cultivated for a little while,

you'll be training together with Geo in a few hours as you both need to learn the same technique.

Ragnee quietly left the room leaving me to tend to my cultivation. Knowing the basics I wasn't surprised about the environment I found myself in.

Engulfed by darkness I once again saw the small dancing light in the distance. This time sitting down close to the flame, I finally saw it.

A pure and untapped ocean underneath the burning flames... to me, at first it looked just like your normal well of water. Quickly after realizing just how vast and pure the waters where.

"So this... this is my so-called "soul ocean".

I'd better start concentrating on molding it within and around me."

Sitting down close to the flames they gave off a warm and gentle touch. Instead of what I thought would happen they felt pleasant to the touch.

I decided to sit down on the edge of the well inside the flames as I began focusing on my breathing. In time the waters slowly began to rise only to gently flood the area and extinguish the flames around it leaving me engulfed in darkness with nothing but my thoughts.

There were no traces left of the demon within…

But was it gone?

The priests and Ereth made sure the essence was sealed inside allowing me to move on without it, now able to work on my cultivation the water inside the well began rising. As I tried to clear my mind thoughts of the past came rus.h.i.+ng in, making me wonder how the others were doing.

Slowly becoming overwhelmed by sadness and loneliness…

I felt warm arms around me, arms that filled me with courage.

I slowly awakened from my cultivation to see familiar arms around me.

The arms around me were from my companion Yami,

I began to blush, knowing she did this for her perverted purposes.

Not long after what transpired Ragnee came in to check on me,

her routine check-up was finished and she hoped to have some time alone as she was planning to watch over my cultivation, only to see Yami had intruded on my cultivation.

Jealous that Yami took her chance away from her she balled her fist and punched her off me. The hit on her head made Yami let go of me as she fell to the ground.

"You b.i.t.c.h!! That was uncalled for, what is wrong with you… Can't you see I'm helping master?"

"It is important that Michael masters the cultivation to prevent another scenario like what transpired during the tournament in the future. It's best to let me tend to his cultivation."

Frustrated Ragnee opened her palm to lash out on Yami once more.

Irritation began getting the better of Ragnee, but she knew she had to stay professional or the a.s.sociation would throw her out as well, if she was to get her chance back she had to get rid of the halfling.

Not believing what she heard Yami flinched.

"We have no time for your silly games, halfling… leave now, you're master is in good hands.

But we have to train him properly in the arts of the shadow. You too must have heard what the church told us about Michael?"

Yami her ears and tail started to hang down.

"Yami knows… But Yami can't leave master… not when he needs me the most!!

The girl continued to keep fighting over me, making me unable to concentrate on my cultivation. Deciding it was best to get back into cultivation I stood up and tried to get between the two arguings.

I have to say that I'm truly grateful for this opportunity even if they are doing it for the protection of the village."

I tried to reason with the girl, but was unable to… as they paid no mind to me.

It quickly began going out of hand, because both were getting ready to fight each other.

"Hey, hey! This isn't helping… Stop this you two!"

I tried jumping in to prevent them from fighting but ended up tripping.

Thankfully the girls paid attention to me falling. Both jumped in to try and catch me.

They succeeded, the fall was broken by the two. Slowly I tried getting up, but couldn't as something was covering my face. It was soft and warm. I realized the girls must have tried to break my fall, yet instead must have landed on top of me as they tried to compete against each other.

I reached out my hands in front of me trying to get up but couldn't. Unable to see in front of me and unable to breathe I panicked.

*Boing*

Boing? Something soft and squishy blocked my path. I tried to push it away as I desperately tried to

break free.

*Nyaaa*

I heard both the girls moan close to me. My hands finally broke free. But now I need to grab onto something to get the both of them off me. I continued to reach out grasping in the dark stretched out my hands and grabbed tightly.

This time it was round and firm… what could it be?

I couldn't care less… I had to break free, losing consciousness it was now or never.

*Hiii*

The girls moved upward allowing me to breathe.

"Where do you think you're grabbing Michael?!"

"Aaahh master, no… let go!!"

Both said equally fl.u.s.tered at the same time.

Shocked by the realization I let go as I couldn't believe what I had done.

The girls jumped up giving me a bit of room before Ragnee furiously pulled me up by the collar of my s.h.i.+rt.

This isn't what we got you here for!!"

"Master, don't trust the wench, her facial expression is saying the opposite,

I bet you she liked it, haha. As for me, you can do it whenever."

Becoming more fl.u.s.tered and hot-headed Ragnee's face turned completely red,

losing control of her own body and let go of me. Allowing me to fall flat on my a.s.s.

But shouldn't I continue to cultivate right now?"

Caught between frustration, pride, and fl.u.s.tering Ragnee couldn't handle what had happened and decided to clear the room, quickly leaving the room to allowing me to continue my cultivation.

I sat down on the ground wanting to continue my cultivation.

But before I could I needed to tend to my companion.

"Yami, I'm glad for a friend and companion like you,

I know I'm not alone in this world anymore and that I will be forever grateful."

Yami wanted to react, but couldn't as I stopped her before she could.

"I have to tend to my cultivation, so I think it's best if you could leave me to it.

Know that you will always be with me, inside here."

I gently grabbed her hand and held it against my chest allowing her to feel my heartbeat.

Yami almost couldn't hold back her tears from joy.

"Thank you, master, Yami too will cherish our moments together forever and ever."

"Haha, I am glad to hear that, I'll come and get you when my training here has finished.

I promise you that. Now off you go."

I said my goodbyes to her for now, knowing we would see each other shortly after all this.
