One Piece Buff System 13 13: You Want To Be A Pirate? Edited

That night, Makino and Haruno made the dinner. Makino wanted to do everything alone, but Haruno convinced her to let him help. With a happy smile, Makino said: "I hope you enjoy it!" everyone was surprised by this banquet! So many dishes! Ace looked at Haruno and said: "I didn't know you could cook like this !" Haruno looked at him with a confused expression and said: "Huh? I can cook! I helped Makino-san with the preparation today. I don't cook anything for you guys because I don't want to!" Luffy ate a whole giant shrimp and said: "Delicious!" Haruno laughed and said: "Well, I'm sure it is, Luffy. Because Makino-san cooked it for us!" Sabo paused and said: "Food in a s.h.i.+p needs to be delicious! When I have my s.h.i.+p I'm going to recruit the best cook. So that is your job, cook Haru!" Ace looked at Sabo and said: "I'm gonna be a pirate before you, so you can forget about it." Luffy jumped and said: "Of course not! I'm gonna be the first to become a pirate!" 

Haruno chuckled and said: "Okay, Okay you three you, can stop-... G-g-g-g-g-Garp?????" Garp coughed. Luffy and Ace felt a cold sweat run down their spines... They looked behind themselves and Garp was there, smiling yet not. Then Garp asked: "You want to be a pirate? You don't understand that you will be marine soldiers??" Garp punched Ace's and Luffy's head, after that, he called Dadan and punched her head in too. Reeling, Dadan asked: "Why was I punched too?" Garo looked at her and said: "You are not teaching them anything." Sabo looked at Haruno, who was staring at Garp with a fearful expression and asked: "This is Garp? Luffy, Ace, and Haruno's grandpa?" 

Garp looked at Sabo and said: "Boy... You talked about being a pirate too..." Luffy then jumped in: "He's not a 'boy'! His name is Sabo! Me, him, Ace and Haruno, we made the sake ritual and became brothers! Oathing to leave one day to be pirates!" Garp looked at Haruno and 'smiled again', he added: "So... Haruno too..." Ace was trying to hide his fear of the man: "What a loudmouth..." Haruno got up, looked at Garp and spoke too, his voice trembling like his legs: "Y-you can't force me to do what you want! I can't be a marine! I want to be a pirate! And that is what I'm going to be!" This made Garp a little stunned and Dadan almost died as she heard it as well. Luffy, Ace, and Sabo were frozen too from the bold declaration. Garp coughed and simply said: "So that means that you four need a lesson!" 

Haruno then shouted: "Run!" and opened a portal to run away. Luffy, Ace, and Sabo rushed and jumped in the portal as quickly as they could. Haruno looked back at Garp and jumped in the portal last. He quickly closed it, before hearing Garp in the distance shout: "I won't let you run!". After merely two minutes they were found and they started to 'fight'... Without Haruno supporting them, they could only run, but with him involved, they could at least hit Garp one or two times... Garp jumped to hit Haruno's face. It was extremely fast, he couldn't even see it! But suddenly, he felt something different awaken in him... Everything around him was in slow motion. Haruno focused and opened an entrance portal near Garp's punch and the exit in front of Garp's face.

Garp noticed that something different happened with Haruno and with his Kenbushoku Haki, he felt that Haruno was opening a portal. He saw the location of the two portals. He didn't know why, but he felt pride! It was pride that Haruno could deflect one of his punches... Or at least try... So he let himself be hit by his punch. Everything turned back to normal and he saw Garp had been hit by his redirected punch, he felt happy that it had worked. Luffy, Ace, and Sabo looked at him and smiled, then Haruno said: "Garp... I know you want me to be a marine... But I won't be a marine. I want to follow my dreams... So that's why! I'm gonna fight!" Well, in the end, the floor was wiped with them. When he left, Garp coldly added: "That's it for today. Tomorrow I won't take it easy on you! Don't die yet." Haruno was the only one that could still walk so he opened a portal to their room inside Dadan's house. He threw the other three inside the portal. When everybody in the house fell asleep after drinking sake, Haruno, Luffy, Ace, and Sabo started to make plans.

Ace began: "If we don't do anything, the old man will kill us tomorrow." Sabo nodded and said: "And even if we survive, he's gonna continue until we give up on our dreams." Haruno nodded and added: "Or until we become marines." Luffy then shouted: "I don't want to die!" then Ace said: " We only have one option! It is time to make a decision, brothers!" They nodded to each other, they knew what the others were thinking about. They gathered everything that they had and proceeded with their master plan. An escape in the middle of the night! They ran until the sun was s.h.i.+ning brightly high in the sky. Luffy finally said: "We escaped!" Haruno continued: "Well, at least we left a message saying: 'We declare independence! As: ASLH'." Sabo thought for a bit before saying: "Dadan and the others probably won't come." Ace nodded: "She will be happy, now that her problem is gone."

Water dripped from the sky, and slowly rain started. They rushed to search for a tree to take shelter in and protect themselves. After searching for some time, they finally found a hollow tree with a wide enough entrance. They entered the hole and Ace said: "Let's stay here for now and take shelter from the rain." Luffy chuckled at their improvised camping trip: "So cool!" Haruno laughed and added: "I'm a bit tired... I used my Ak.u.ma no Mi too much last night." Sabo nodded and said: "Me too... We fought with that old man for too long. I'm pretty sure I almost died! Let's sleep..." they lied down near each other and quickly all fell asleep. Before falling into unconsciousness, Haruno withdrew his quest reward:
