Chapter 462: Who Is Siren – 2
Gu Min was holding a big bouquet of pink roses in his hand. The reason the security guard let him through was that he told him that his brother was one of the shareholders of the Li Corporation.
There was only one reason why he came into No.1 High School—To look for Fu Zhi.
He was beaten by Fu Zhi at the Mu Family’s gathering the other day. His left arm was broken and he had to wear a cast. However, it still could not prevent him from giving in to his inner desire.
He was kneeling on one knee as he pulled a bank card out from his pocket. Then, he said, his voice laced with shyness, “Ms. Fu, I guess you understand what I mean, right?”
A broken arm, a bank card, and a shy boy.
Fu Zhi nodded understandably and replied, “Okay, I get it.”
Gu Min’s cheek flushed rosily after he heard what Fu Zhi had said. “So… So…”
Before he could say anything, Fu Zhi opened her mouth and continued, “You’re trying to blackmail me with a broken arm, aren’t you?”
Gu Min was stunned. The hint of pink on his cheeks faded instantly and he felt as if he was dreaming.
“According to the provisions of China’s “Criminal Law”, extortion of public and private property in a larger amount can const.i.tute the crime of fraud. Extortion of private property valued at 2,000 yuan or more, and 50,000 yuan or more will be sentenced from 3 to 10 years imprisonment, short-term detention or controlled release, and fine,” Fu Zhi said as she looked at the bank card in Gu Min’s hand. She was certain that he wanted to get money from her so that he could buy a quadrangle courtyard from her. Therefore, there was no way she would let things go as he wished.
After that, Fu Zhi harrumphed coldly and took a step forward.
Gu Min’s knees went weak, and the memory of him getting dragged into the pitch-black alley by Fu Zhi the other day rose in his head.
Fu Zhi heard a loud thud, then she saw Gu Min, who was still holding a bouquet of roses, dropped on both his knees.
His body was shaking tremendously and his face was pale with fear. He had never come across such a scary young lady before.
“I’m not blackmailing you!” Gu Min said as he waved the bouquet of roses in his hand. Then, he took a deep breath to calm himself down and continued, “I just want you to be my girlfriend!”
The eyes of the young man kneeling in front of Fu Zhi were filled with admiration to the brim. It was as if he was trying to tell her through his eyes that they were going to make a great couple.
“Stop your nonsense,” Fu Zhi said, a mixed feeling dawning on her face. She did not believe in love at first sight at all. She was confident that he was up to no good for working so hard to be her boyfriend. Perhaps he wanted to inherit her villa and millions of properties after she died?
‘No, I’m not going to let that happen!’
With that thought in mind, Fu Zhi’s gaze turned colder as she said, “Stop dreaming and don’t come looking for me anymore.”
Fu Zhi swore to G.o.d that if she were to start a relations.h.i.+p with Gu Min, Ye Jiu would be struck to death by lightning.
Ye Jiu, who had just emerged from the grove, knew what Fu Zhi was thinking and he snarled, “Why don’t you swear with your own life, huh?”
‘Well, it doesn’t matter. You are mine, and mine is still mine. In other words, your life is mine, while my life is still mine. Since we’re inseparable, I don’t see any wrong for me to swear with your life.’
Fu Zhi nodded inwardly and then she said, “Get up now. I don’t have money, so I won’t give you any red packet.”
Gu Min’s face was full of confusion.
‘Do I look like a guy who needs to depend on a woman?’
However, before he could ask anything, Fu Zhi and Ye Jiu had already gone out far.
Mu Chenxi, who was scared out of the wit by Ye Jiu, finally came around to her senses. This was the first time she saw Gu Min ever since the Mu Family’s gathering.
There was too much going on in the Mu Family. Their company stock was plummeting and Mu Chenxi looked haggard right now.
The bouquet of roses in Gu Min’s hand stung Mu Chenxi’s eyes.
She took a step forward to Gu Min and questioned him, “Why? Didn’t you say you’re here to help me? Then, why didn’t you pick up my call and reply to my messages? Why did you come to look for Fu Zhi?”
Gu Min slowly rose to his feet from the ground. He seemed rather unperturbed as he replied, “Do you really need to ask?”
“Huh?”
“She’s prettier than you,” Gu Min said, “Besides, I’m a sc*mbag, a womanizer, and I only love pretty girls.”
Of course, if Mu Chenxi was skillful enough, she might be able to capture his heart, but unfortunately, she had not mastered the art of b*tchiness yet.
After he had finished speaking, he ran towards the direction where Fu Zhi was heading.
Mu Chenxi was speechless. In fact, she was so sad that she wanted to vomit blood.
She was the one who asked Gu Min to come to Yu City, and she was the one he had a thing for. She could not fathom why everything had changed in just one day.
She was disappointed and she started to blame Lu Chuwan. If it were not for Lu Chuwan to cry in front of her, how was there any possibility she would mess with Fu Zhi?
However, it was too late now. Her family was on the verge of falling apart.
Mu Chenxi sobbed and she pulled her phone out.
Gu Min had always claimed that he was a womanizer, but what he did not know was that Mu Chenxi was a seductress. He was not the only one she flirted with, and she had a list of rich young masters in her phone, but as she scrolled through their contact numbers, she suddenly remembered something.
Although her childhood was filled with piano training and dancing, and that she had never watched the cla.s.sic animation “Calabash Boys” before, her sixth sense as a woman warned her to stop looking for these young masters to deal with Fu Zhi.
After all, there was a good chance that they might end up like Gu Min as well.
In the end, Mu Chenxi called Ouyang Ya.
——
When Ouyang Ya received Mu Chenxi’s call, Mu Chenxi was on the verge of crying.
However, in order to protect her own family, she could only abandon the Mu Family. Besides, she would never cooperate with useless people as well. Therefore, she told Mu Chenxi that she couldn’t help her family. There was nothing she could do if Fu Zhi refused to let go.
Mu Chenxi was devastated. Was this the end of the Mu Family?
She thought Ouyang Ya was her only hope, but in reality, Ouyang Ya could not help her too.
Everything she asked for and done felt like a complete joke to her.
Although she held half of the responsibility for the downfall of the Mu Family, she felt that Lu Chuwan had to hold another half of the responsibility as well.
“Please, Ms. Ouyang, I beg you, please help us,” Mu Chenxi said, “I’m not asking you to force Fu Zhi to sell the rights of her book to us. We… The Mu Family is running out of fun, so can you please invest in the movie that we’re going to make to compete with Fu Zhi’s movie? Fu Zhi doesn’t have any connections in the entertainment industry and the movie director that she hired is notoriously known for making bad movies. As long as we can make the movie, I a.s.sure you that we will be able to defeat Fu Zhi. After we get the money back, we will certainly pay you back…”
Ouyang Ya threw herself into the chair and continued, “Ms. Mu, I’m very sorry for what’s going on with your family, but I don’t know anything about the entertainment industry and I don’t have money to invest in your movie either.”
“You’re the heiress of the Ouyang Family, so how is there any possibility that you don’t have money? Please, Ms. Ouyang, please save us!”
“I’m really sorry, Ms. Mu. I really want to help you, but I can’t. Why don’t you ask other people? How about Ye s.h.i.+yun? Didn’t you say you’re very close to him? Maybe he can lend you some money.”
Ouyang Ya had to take care of many other things. For instance, the exchange meeting between Hang Yuan and No.1 High School, Ouyang Feng, and the shop on Taobao, so she did not have the mood or time to help the Mu Family right now.
“Then, I want to meet you for one more time, Ms. Ouyang…”
Ouyang Ya was getting annoyed by Mu Chenxi’s persistence. Just after she hung up the call and turned around, she realized that Raptor was gone.
