Chapter 801

“Can you handle him alone?” Wanda asked Dio as she was unsure of the entire situation.

“We were never alone!” Natasha suddenly said as she reached the battlefront. Wanda then looked at Natasha before turning his head towards Luci, Valkyrie, Pepper in her Rescue Armor, and Okoye, the captain of Wakanda’s Royal Guard. There were Mantis, Gamora, and Nebula too on the side. 

All of the Earth’s Mightiest Hero had already a.s.sembled here! Furthermore, half of them were female! There was no more discrimination against women as women too could handle their own ground just fine. 

“Let’s go!” Natasha said as the two sides rushed towards each other, battling for the Infinity Gauntlet.  

Dio threw the Infinity Gauntlet in his possession toward Scott as Scott was closer to the van. “Go, Scott!” Dio shouted urgently. Scott caught the Infinity Gauntlet and immediately rushed towards his van where the Quantum Tunnel could be activated in order to send Thanos and his army back to the past.

But suddenly, a whistling sound could be heard as Thanos threw his twin blade with all his might, crossing a quarter of the battlefield, aimed at Scott, who held the Infinity Gauntlet in his hands.

Scott, who almost reached the van, was startled and instinctively got away from the van as he knew that he couldn’t afford to lose the Quantum Tunnel. 

“No, Scott! Just do your thing!” Dio said as he stood in front of Scott. Standing on the path of Thanos’ twin blade. Scott gritted his teeth and believed in Dio as he rushed towards the van once more. 

“I will break it!” Dio said as he activated all Hamon Technique that he had. From Sendo Ripple Overdrive to the Scarlet Overdrive! “Reaper Hunt!” Dio said as he dragged his scythe on the ground, transforming it once again to a crescent moon shape! The ground shook and broke upon contact with Dio’s scythe as it couldn’t handle the energy that the scythe contained. 

The blade on Dio’s scythe expanded exponentially. It had a smooth surface that would cut everything in its path! It was certainly sharper than it was before. As Dio walked, a deep trench was formed on the ground as the scythe was dragged on the ground. Dio’s scythe was certainly a deadly weapon that even the Avengers looked back in horror as they witnessed the transformation on Dio’s scythe.

Black Dwarf and Corvus Glaive, who were among the strongest in the Black Order, were startled by the transformation of Dio’s scythe and subconsciously took a step back! 

Dio then swept his scythe forwards in the direction of the Black Dwarf and Corvus Glaive. Both of them were cut without a chance to respond at all as they didn’t see Dio’s attack that well. 

It wasn’t easy for Dio to reach this peak of power as he felt his entire body screaming from the excessive force that he exerted! Furthermore, Dio also used a lot of Hamon Energy in an instant, but he knew that it was worth the trouble! As long as the Quantum Tunnel was intact and Scott could complete the activation of the Quantum Tunnel safely, everything was really worth it!

Nevertheless, when Scott reached the Quantum Tunnel and activated it, he couldn’t enter the Quantum Tunnel as he was bounced off without a clear reason. The Infinity Gauntlet was full with Infinity Stones still in his hand.

“What happened? Why am I back here again?” Scott said with a grimace on his face. 

“You tell me! I also want to know why you’re still holding that thing in your hands!” Dio said with a frown on his face. 

“I remember entering the Quantum Tunnel and set a point to reach my first year of destination, but suddenly I’m back here again!” Scott recalled. Dio was confused too, but he knew that Scott wasn’t lying as he saw how confused Scott was. 

“Try it again! You are the one who should know about the Quantum World best! So, find out what is going on!” Dio ordered. Scott then tried to enter the Quantum Tunnel again, holding the Infinity Gloves, but he instantly popped back out again! He still held the Infinity Stones in his hand, and that was when he realised that he couldn’t go back to the past!

“I can’t go back in time!” Scott said urgently. 

“What? What is happening?” Dio said frustratedly.

“We traveled back to the past by setting the synch point. But the past has so many interconnecting futures, too! Therefore, without Tony’s navigation system, it is almost impossible to traverse the Quantum World!” Scott said nervously. “That is why I’m sent back here every single time, I didn’t have the necessary tool to reach the past!” Scott explained. 

Dio clicked his tongue as he understood what Scott was trying to explain, but why did it have to happen now? “This is not good! Why now of all times? Shouldn’t it be hard for Thanos to traverse the Quantum World himself and reach our future if that were the case?” Dio said frustratedly. 

“I am not sure, but the Quantum World is still operating in a mysterious way! We know too little of its vast usage! Maybe Thanos also altered the Quantum World somehow, or maybe the Quantum World has reached its limit as we used it too much. I certainly didn’t know the reason behind all this!” Scott said worriedly. 

Dio glanced around the battlefield to look for an answer as he knew Scott was telling the truth! But he thought back to the start of the war, and he remembered the blast of green energy before. He started to think that it might have something to do with it. After all, his Time Stop ability was also nullified! 

But he wasn’t so sure either. It was frustrating for Dio as his plan hit a big setback! Dio looked around for an answer, but he didn’t find anything. Was it best for him to use the Gauntlet alone to send Thanos back to the past? It was the quickest way to solve the problem in front of him, but still, there were some risks and dangers for them.

That was why Dio had to think very carefully about advancing his plan!
