Murong Xu gently pushed the door open and the darkness of the room drowned him in an instant. The occasional sound of firecrackers from outside could be heard. The glow from fireworks would also s.h.i.+ne into the room through the window and disappear in an instant.

Lying beside her, he gently hugged her soft, delicate body. Due to the pregnancy, Gu Yuxuan was slightly plumper. Her body was also softer and warm in his arms and it felt very comfortable.

The fragrant scent of shampoo from Gu Yuxuan's hair drifted into his nose and he felt secure and entirely refreshed in an instant.

The sound of firecrackers continued and the fireworks bloomed without stopping as their kisses became increasingly hotter...

After a long period of warmth, Murong Xu hugged Gu Yuxuan and walked up to the window to enjoy the gorgeous, dazzling moment together.

"Why are you here?" Murong Yu turned to look at Gu Yuxuan leisurely and his eyes glowed as bright as stars.

"I want to keep you company! Why are you back so early? I thought that you would only return after midnight." Gu Yuxuan leaned her head lightly gainst Murong Xu's shoulder with a sense of laziness.

"I returned after dinner. I initially wanted to return and familiarize myself first before I went to find you!"

"Well, this is the first time that we are celebrating the New Year together."

"Will it be alright for dad to be alone over there since you're here?"

"He went to play chess at his old friend's house. Uncle Xu's son will not come back this year and he is alone at home, so dad went over to keep him company."
