Bai Yao fell into sleep with happiness. She couldn’t wait until tomorrow. But her dreams were not good.

When the sun of morning pa.s.sed through the window to rest upon the girl’s face, her eyebrows were twisted.

“No!” Bai Yao suddenly sat up. Cold sweat lay upon her forehead.

“Lady, you are awake?” Lianyi asked from outside.

“Yes,” Bai Yao answered lightly. Her heart was still upset with the nightmare. She dreamed of someone holding a sword, pointing toward her. Though she didn’t see the face, the purple clothes were so familiar.

“Lady, my lady, what’s wrong?” Lianyi asked worriedly, finding her different.

Bai Yao was fully awakened by her calling, and her throat was hoa.r.s.e. “Nothing. Help me to do my morning wash.” Forget it, I’ll go out today, she thought to herself.

When Bai Yao arrived in the hall of her family, all the rest were there waiting. She greeted her parents and then gave Bai Yu a smile.

Bai Yu returned a thin smile to her.

“How was your rest, sister?” Bai Yao asked as a pleasantry.

“Thanks for your care, my older sister. It was fine.” Bai Yu was jealous of Bai Yao’s beauty.

The parents saw they appeared to be in harmony, and the father's face turned smooth. “Yao, you are my daughter, the lady of our family, so don’t make your family lose respect, okay?” The father instructed her seriously.

Bai Yao nodded. “Yes, I remember, Father. I will be careful!”

“Lord, the Second Prince is waiting outside.” The housekeeper came to report to the father.

The father nodded and waved his hand to let the housekeeper leave. Then he turned his sight on Bai Yao.

Bai Yao understood what he meant, so she followed the housekeeper out.

Mo Kai still wore a dark dress. When he saw Bai Yao’s makeup, he felt he had slipped into a trance, she was so lovely. The girl was pure and pretty, like a fairy lady came down from heaven.

She limped to him, and Mo Kai found her cute, thus joked with her. “You are so eager?”

Bai Yao blushed, and she rebuked him. “I just want to have fun while we travel.” Meanwhile, I want to know if you have any relations.h.i.+p with me. But she didn’t speak out the last part.

“Lady Bai, this way!” Mo Kai lifted up the curtain and helped her step into the carriage. Bai Yao was so satisfied with his gentleness.

The carriage began to move, and Bai Yao’s eyes watched as they pa.s.sed through the street. Suddenly something drew her attention.

Following her line of sight, Mo Kai found an old man who was selling crispy, sugar-coated fruit.

Mo Kai told the driver to stop the carriage. Then he pulled the curtain aside to give his hand to Bai Yao. “Come down.”

Staring at Mo Kai, Bai Yao felt her heart beat so quickly. She reached out her right hand, and the cold palm of Mo Kai took hers. Though the big palm was cold, she felt warmth anyway.

When she stepped down, Mo Kai retracted his hand. Bai Yao was a little disappointed. She didn’t know why she became out of control. They had only met twice.

“Let’s go.” Mo Kai’s voice rose again. Bai Yao nodded to follow him.

Mo Kai bought two candies for Bai Yao. “I promised you we would hang around this city. So I should not let you stay in the carriage all the way.”

“You are so wonderful, Second Prince! Let's go there.” Bai Yao went to another side. She was so bored in the carriage. The air outside was so flesh.

Bai Yao was curious about everything. Mo Kai spoiled her. If she wanted anything, Mo Kai would asked the servant to pay.

Now the servant’s hands were full, and Bai Yao was still finding everything strange and new.

Finally, she stopped in front of a magnificent upper shop. This was a silk and cloth store. She saw the signboard and the name in elegant handwriting: Immortal Style Loft.

Immortal Style? Interesting, she thought.

Mo Kai saw she stayed there for a long time, so he went to explain it to her. “This is the number one cloth store in this kingdom. The signboard was written and granted by my father."

Aha. . . Bai Yao was so excited and couldn’t wait to enter it.

The store had two floors. The first floor was displaying their cloth, and the second presented some suit samples.

A middle-aged woman came out from inside the house, and when she saw Mo Kai and Bai Yao, she was stunned. Why did these two come together? But she was tactful enough that she greeted to Mo Kai and Bai Yao. “Nice to meet you, Second Prince, and nice to see you, Lady Bai.”

Oh? Bai Yao was surprised that she knew her. “Why do you know me?”

The proprietor smiled charmingly. “Lady Bai, your returning to the capital city amazed the civilians. Everybody is talking about your beauty. How can I ignore this?”

Really? She forgot.

Bai Yao lowered her eyes with a demure smile. “Thanks for the compliment.” Then she went to look around in the store.

Mo Kai asked the shop owner, “Lady Jin, would you bring a superior quality suit for Lady Bai?”

Lady Jin nodded. She went in after a careful look to estimate Bai Yao’s figure. “Wait a minute, Second Prince, I will be back soon.” Their suits were only provided for the royal families.

After some time, the shop owner brought a suit of clothes to Bai Yao.

Bai Yao touched the cloth. The feeling was cool and smooth. It was made of fine silk. The store owner recommended it. “Lady Bai, this is a skirt made of heavenly silk. See? So you like the patterns?”

Bai Yao understood her words, that the suit was expensive. She nodded politely and said, “I like it.”

The shop owner invited her to have a trial fit, but Bai Yao would not let Mo Kai buy such a luxurious suit only for traveling on the streets, so she rejected.
