Drake asked me the location of the others and I told him where they are. Some of his fellow Dragoons tried to heal me but I have severe injuries that it takes time to heal itself. For now, I need to go somewhere to rest. Zofie canceled the aura because maintaining it gives burden to my body. Drake left his army to take care of the remaining forces.

"Your body is not in a good condition. Please log out of the game soon. Game addiction is good but we don't tolerate it." Pfft... a window showed up in front of me showing a warning and it kinda made me giggle.

"Sure sure," I just said while looking for a safe place. Wait... safe place...

I rushed towards the location of the tavern where we asked for information. I slowly walked around avoiding some guards roaming around. I finally reached the area and somehow, there's no people or guards at all.

I went straight ahead and upon entering, there's the tavern keeper wiping the things all over the place. Explosions around the city make small tremors that shake the things inside the tavern.

"h.e.l.lo there again, valued customer. Do you need food, water, or shelter? I've got all the things you need." He said welcoming me. I saw the place and there's a lot of shattered ceramics all over the place.

"Thank you. I need a safe room to stay and please prepare something to eat and drink. I will rest for at least ten to twenty minutes. I can't fight with a tired body and an empty stomach." I replied.

"Don't worry. I'll get it prepared soon. Just choose a room upstairs and I will put the food and drink on the table. Get your energy back because you need it." He said and thankfully this guy values his customers.

I went up ahead and just went straight to bed to log out.

Ugh! This guy that knocked me out last time is still as formidable as the first time I saw him. He's only using hand to hand combat but you can't find any openings. I can't also use any spells because my mana is not even doing well either and I can't escape when I'm in a pinch.

Both Osia and Sh.e.l.la are defending from the a.s.sa.s.sins around and I can tell that they are doing fine even if they're outnumbered. Sh.e.l.la, despite being a spellcaster, moves so fast with that slippery skin. Osia's defensive ice spells also are tough enough to protect herself from the attackers. s.h.i.+v, on the other hand, is just walking around looking for an opening.

"What's wrong? You stopped moving suddenly. Are you tired?" This huge man is such a pain. Why him again of all people. I'm not but I'm just trying to calculate things. Buying time is not good because while I save mana, Sh.e.l.la and Osia are spending a lot trying to save themselves.

"If you want a hand to hand combat, then I will show you what I've got," I said preparing to make a move.

I tried to land a punch to test his evasive skills but...

*BAAAAAM!* Our fists collided making a powerful shockwave! Oh, c.r.a.p that hurt! Without my protective gloves, that would have shattered my fingers! I chose the wrong fighting style against a pro melee!

He's preparing to land another punch! I need to counter! I jumped in midair evading his attack and tried to unleash a spinning kick towards his face!

He successfully blocked my attack with his other arm! Even with my speed, I can't land a hit! I pulled my foot back and jumped back by kicking his arm.

"Not bad kid. But I think you can do better than that. Now, I'll make sure that you'll never escape from me." He started changing fighting stance. From fists, he opened up his fingers wide and also spread his feet.

Uhmmm that is too obvious... he's aiming to grab me when I get near him and I'm pretty sure he'll just swing me around and smash me to the ground. That would not be a good experience and I would never allow myself to be in that situa...

Eh?! Where did he come from?! He was able to reach me in just a blink of an eye and grabbed my shoulder with his right arm! Suddenly... I lost my balance and he did something with my foot!

"Oh come on! Ugh!" I blurted out after falling to the ground with ma.s.sive force while he's still grabbing my shoulder. Somehow... my s.h.i.+eld protected my back from the impact but wait...

"How about this!" He's preparing to smash my head with his fist! This is pretty bad! Hey, Shade! Do something, d.a.m.n it!

His power shattered the ground leaving cracks and ma.s.sive hole. He's insane! I used Shade's pa.s.sive ability and his hand just pa.s.s right through my head.

"What the?!" He said surprised. I rolled back escaping from his range. That was so close. Dying with a shattered head wouldn't be cool at all. I'm ugly enough to have that kind of appearance.

"Annoying b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" He once again showed up in front of me and tried to land a frontal attack but... his hand just pa.s.sed through my body.

"HEAVY PUNCH!" I unleashed a powerful right-hand punch to his stomach powerful enough to make him curl from the force.

"ELBOW SMAs.h.!.+" I turned around and tried to hit his face with my left elbow!

*BAAAAAAM* Oh c.r.a.p he blocked it with his hand!

*GRAB* Then he grabbed my hand and tried to smash me to the ground but while I'm in mid-air, he lost his grip because of Shade's pa.s.sive and take this!

*HEAVY SCISSOR KICK!" I twirl around and hit him in the face with a powerful kick! That should break his neck!

"Ugh... that hurt! You, kid." He said while trying to fix his neck making cracking sounds while he moves his head. What the h.e.l.l?!

Suddenly, I backed off for a bit because I sensed a killing intent somewhere. It's really familiar and then Maisie showed up walking towards us out of nowhere... this is bad. If they're allies then we're all screwed right now.

"Don't interfere with my fight girl." The huge man said and walked straight to Maisie looking down on her while she shows no expression at all.

"..." Maisie just stood there like nothing is happening.

"Hey! I'm talking to you!" Man... that's a good way of talking to a lady. But yeah, her actions are unladylike so who am I to judge.

"..." Then she looked at me and then look at Osia and Sh.e.l.la... is she looking for someone?

"..." She turned around and just walked away like that... It looks like we're not her target today. Phew... that was close.

"What the h.e.l.l is wrong with that girl?! She p.i.s.ses me off." Well, at least he didn't attack you without any reason today. I think she's not in the mood to fight or something.

"Nah... She's just shy or something. But yeah, you should..."

He stayed still for a second and pulled his hand back... is he really going to stop my attack?! Then he suddenly unleashed a punch to stop my giant flame fist from above! That won't work, you idiot!

*BOOOOOOOOM!* A huge explosion pushed everything and everyone away! Did I get him?! The buildings around shattered from getting caught by the explosion. With that much power, I guess he's...

"Is that it, kid? You better have something bigger than that!" Uhmmm... I don't know what happened but the game's logic is broken. How can a man survive from something like that?! He even used his fist to stop it! Jeez!

"That's just a warmup. you'll be dead soon." I replied. You'll be dead soon my as*! I have to use my monster soul form to defeat him.

"Hey, wrap this to your fists. Thank me later." s.h.i.+v handed him a cloth of some kind and he did what s.h.i.+v said. What's that for? It looks like it made of magical silk or something.

"Let's try it out!" He once again rushed towards me! Man, how can he move so fast?!

*BAAAAAAM!* I successfully avoided his attack and he hit the wall destroying it to pieces. It looks like the cloth really didn't do anything to improve his power. So what is it for?

*GRAB* He tried to grab me again but it won't work! You should need to learn... eh?

*BAAAAAAAM!* ACK! So close! Once he was able to grab me, I realized that the cloth gives him magical properties that let him hit me even with Shade's pa.s.sive!

He tried to hit my face but I blocked him in time with both of my arms but I paid a high price, I don't think my arms are in a good shape after taking that much damage.

"DARKNESS!" I covered the area with my darkness. I can't fight head to head now against him... I need to play safe or I'd get killed.
