Love Began When I Met You 14 Chapter Fourteen

Prince put on one of his best smiles, he was so happy with her reaction that he forgot he was even mad at her in the first place. Sitting on a couch in her office he pointed at the one opposite indicating for her to come sit on it.

"How rude, this is my office you know, how can you shamelessly come here and order me around, who exactly do you think you are?" Alicia was furious seeing him. She never liked this annoying fellow anyway.

Smiling sweetly at her and not minding the anger in her words he replied happily "Your boss". Boss what boss, Alicia, and her a.s.sistant looked at him like they looking at a mentally deranged patient. He did not get angry at this but signaled his own a.s.sistant instead.

Getting the signal she needed his a.s.sistant pulled out a doc.u.ment from the file she was holding and handed it to Alicia. When Alicia saw the heading 'Transfer of owners.h.i.+p' her eyes grew wide. She was so shocked she didn't know how to react.

The new chairman her grandfather talked about was this annoying fellow. No, that cannot be right. She held the doc.u.ment and quickly scanned through it, seeing the signature between the two parties as her grandfather and him with his elegant handwriting she couldn't help but lament in her heart.

"I already called for a board meeting this afternoon," he said. He rested on the sofa enjoying every bit of expression on her shocked face. Alicia nodded her head like a rattlesnake before she noticed he had said something important.

"Wait, what?" she asked in disbelief "Well, I can't 'hide behind others' for the rest of my life now can I?" he laid emphasis on the words 'hide behind others' to taunt her and seeing the way she was too slow in processing his words he was slightly disappointed.

Alicia already understood the meaning behind his words when he first mentioned the board meeting but he couldn't give him the satisfaction and thereby gave her acting a boost. Seeing the stupid smirk he had from the beginning since entering her office slowly turn into a frown she was satisfied.

"Well, you are the boss so of course, you should be the one to introduce yourself to everyone," she said mocking the word boss. Rita and Prince's a.s.sistant stared at Alicia in shock. They knew she was taunting him and the temperature of the room had dropped drastically but they could not say anything at this point, then again they were too insignificant to actually say something.

Prince retracted the cold aura he was emitting and calmed himself down. "Well shouldn't you already be in the meeting room with the rest" seeing Alicia still confused he added "I take it that you didn't check your email"

"Email, what email?" Alicia asked. She had been bothered for more than a week now because of the annoying fellow in front of her and since then she had worked halfheartedly. She was trying to make up for lost time on other projects, how could she have remembered something as opening her mail.

Turning on her computer, she opened her work email and seeing the mail that had been circulated to all board members, she felt embarra.s.sed. Pretending she was calm she stood up slowly looked at him condescendingly before finally opening her mouth "Why don't you lead the way, boss" she said making him cringe.

For some reason, he felt uncomfortable with the way she calls him but he didn't dwell on that. "How am I supposed to get to the conference room when I don't even know the way there?" he asked

Alicia felt like she was an idiot she was so out of her elements today. "This way then," she said leading the way with her a.s.sistant. This is going to be a field day she thought.

Stepping into the conference room, the board members all stood up as a sign of respect, they were all surprised when they saw the emergency board meeting notice.

Turning to look at her curiously they noticed she had not taken a seat. They followed her gaze and were taken by surprise when they saw a G.o.dlike man at the door.
