SORCERESS 101 218 Request Permission To Exi

The last day of the cla.s.s is the same day as when Mu Lingxi and her friends were planning to set foot for their mission. This antic.i.p.ated day arrived without any further delays.

After getting dismissed from their last cla.s.s, the group headed back to their dormitory right away.

There they gather everything that might come useful to them. Just like before, when they took their first mission, Mu Lingxi and the others also prepare a lot of things and bring it with them.

The group knew well enough that the path leading to the secrets of magic as well as the forgotten practice of necromancy is not an easy one.

Danger will surely lurk around them in every step that they would take. In such kind of environment, where life and death could very much likely hinge on the slightest millimeter of difference, it is better for them to come prepared as much as possible.

It is better to do that than being sorry later on.

"Su Yan, I heard that you will be going to work at Zodiac Arena, is that true?"

Chan Gu asked when he got a chance to talk to Mu Lingxi while they were packing their things and ensuring that they had everything they need.

"Oh yes, that is right. I will be doing some minor work there every after cla.s.s. As you know, I'm short of some magic stones as of the moment. So needed to earn some."

"Well, good luck with your new job then. I guess we will be seeing each other more often. I usually go there to train."

Fan Lei b.u.t.ted in when he heard what his friends were talking about.

Mu Lingxi's friends did not think that anything seemed to be going and so they were less suspicious and just shrugged their shoulders before forgetting about the matter altogether.

But Mu Lingxi, on the other hand, had a different issue in mind. If Yun Xue was being indifferent just like he usually is, she won't mind it at all.

But if it concerns about him, being indifferent towards her but he was okay with the others, that would be entirely another part of the story that needs to be looked at.

Just what has she done wrong for her to deserve such kind of treatment. Yun Xue was giving her a cold shoulder and was avoiding her for quite some time now.

But she cannot recall anything that could possibly cause him to act that way.

Could it be somehow related to the incident with Guinevere? But it's not my fault in the first place???!!!! Why do I have to end up being discriminated for that?

 Before she could even continue a.n.a.lyzing the situation between her and Yun Xue, Mu Lingxi was called by her friends to get ready.

They were about to leave the school premises. Since they will be leaving the school using the mission that they accepted as a cover, then they have to report properly.

Just like the old times, Mu Lingxi and her friends make their way towards the heart of the Enchanted Forest. They were intending to use the same portal that was being guarded by the talking oak tree.

To save themselves for the trouble of finding their way to Rhapsody Swamp. Since using that portal will teleport them directly to their destination.

When the talking oak tree saw the familiar faces of the group of warlocks, he was immediately reminded about the Antediluvian cat that used to tag along with them.

"I am the guardian tree of this forest and of the school. What brought you here at this time of the day?"

"MEOW"

[Does he always need to say that same introduction over and over again? Can't he get any more creative than that??? He already used that exact word before... Tsss]

The guardian tree clearly heard Ja.n.u.s snide remark but he chose not to pay it any heed. He already learned his lesson.

Rather than committing the same mistake just like he did before and lash at the other party, he chose to withhold his honor.

He now understood why the group of warlocks was giving him weird looks before leaving him the last time.

Most probably they took him as a lunatic getting agitated over nothing. They probably thought that he was just talking to himself or to some imaginary friend.

Because there is no way that those young warlocks will be capable of hearing the divine voices of Antediluvian cats. Who used to be the pets and favored subjects of deities during the old times.

So although he had a lot of things that he wants to seek clarification and he has tons of questions in his mind, the talking oak tree refrained himself from asking the antediluvian cat directly.

After all, there is no guarantee that what he will be saying afterward was all true. He must first gather his intelligence and investigate the matter further.

If possible, he would even want to let the schoolmaster know about the old prophecy.

Knowing what to do, Long Fuzi nag the others did not wait for any signal anymore and just do what has to be done.

Taking out the magic emblem pinned on their chest that represents their student ident.i.ty, Mu Lingxi, and her friends raised their right hand in the air and recited the required ritual almost all at the same time.

When the dazzling light emanated by the golden leaves of the talking oak tree finally subsided, the group of warlocks was nowhere to be found.

They are now teleported somewhere outside the premises of Magus Academia
