The accommodation that was provided to each of them was really top-notch. Well, that was to be expected since they are staying within the grounds of the royal palace.

Every single part of the manor screamed of extravagance. Even the casual flower pots that were used to decorate the pavement of each pathway were nothing short if impressive.

The landscape of the place is also carefully taken into consideration. To calm the mind of those who reside on it.

To produce such an effect, the small zen garden at the corner of the manor is also well taken care of. This can be seen if one was to rest and overlook the place at the gazebo accessible at the center of the garden.

The artful  arrangements of rocks, water features, moss, pruned trees and bushes, and sand that is raked to represent ripples in water provides the place a serene and peaceful vibe

But despite the comfortable lodging that she had, Mu Lingxi still prefers her bunk bed back at their campus dormitory.

She finds that place more cozy than this room that she was currently resting at. The large s.p.a.ce around her only makes her feel suffocated instead.

To avoid herself from getting bored to death, Mu Lingxi went out of her room. She took a casual walk around the place, using the memory that she had when she last visited the palace.

After pa.s.sing several corridors, Mu Lingxi arrived at the hall where the visitors during the palace banquet in Long Yue's name day were gathered before.

Looking around her, she saw the small pond with a small bridge the pa.s.s over it. This is the same pond where Mi Rijen fell.

Mi Rijen was one of Mu Yanxiao's lackey that dares to bully her before. Only to end up being turned into a laughing stock after having a dive with the Koi fishes.

"Oh... that is too silly of me back then. why did I even bother talking to them that day? I should have just left them as soon as I felt that they were up to no good. I should not have wase my time to their nonsense bickering.."

Since Mu Lingxi is not yet too familiar with the place, she just went on the places that she previously have been.

Just like on the hillside. A little isolated place among the palace grounds, where she and Long Yue first met.

Or rather had their first fight. This is where they both came tumbling down to the foot of the hill. All the hair tugging as well as the head-b.u.t.ting incident happened at this very same place.

Mu Lingxi smiled as she recalled those silly things that she had done when she was just green and unfamiliar to this world.

She even dare hit a prince! What a bold lady she was.

But thinking about it, Mu Lingxi believed that even if it is in the present, she still will not think twice about hitting Long Yue. If he deserved to be hit, even if he were a prince she will still give him a good beating.

Staying with Long Fuzi ad Long Yue in the same room for almost have a year made her forget that they were actually of n.o.ble standings.

Their casual att.i.tude when they were in the Magus Aceniam as well as how they use to interact with their friends is what makes Mu Lingxi feel that way.

The heat from the sun no longer burned her skin. It was just perfect to warm her body as the night will soon about to come.

Since that is the case, Mu Lingxi felt that this is the best time to rest under the shade of a tree.  So she made her way up to the top of the hill. Since she recalled seeing a peach tree planted on its top before.

But when she reached the very top of the hill, she saw someone lying amidst the sea of daffodil flowers.

The man was enjoying the shade of the pink peach tree in full bloom as he leisurely observed the shape-s.h.i.+fting clouds.

When the other party sense that he was not alone, it instantly sat up. But when he saw that it was Su Yan (Mu Lingxi) that arrived, the tense muscles that started to build-up in his body due to his wariness, started to relax.

"Hi, Su Yan. How did you know this place???"

Long Yue asked with a big smile. He patted the s.p.a.ce beside him and invited his good friend to join him as he observed the clouds.

"Come, join me. This is my secret sanctuary. I never share it with anyone before, but today I will share it would you. Since we are brothers."

Mu Lingxi's initial plan in the first place is to enjoy the perfect atmosphere and rest for a bit under the shade of the peach tree. So she no longer stands on ceremony and accepted Long Yue's offer right away.

She sat beside him and as expected, the top of the hill oversees the entire palace yard.

The majestic color of red, gold and white make the palace stands out among the other buildings that stood nearby.

Copying Long Yue, Mu Lingxi also lies on her back and rested her body among the sea of daffodils. This allows her to see the blue sky above her.

Above them, Mu Lingxi and Long Yue watched together, side by side, the ever-changing art of the sky. The clouds brought them infinite images of beauty.

Just like that, they spend that moment gazing into the baby blue sky. Laughing and joking, while watching the clouds.

They continue to watch as to how the wind carries those velvet white clouds away and move them somewhere.

Every now and then the clouds will form different shapes that resemble a cat, sometimes a horse and at one occasion, Mu Lingxi swear that she saw a cloud shaped like Santa!

"Su Yan, how about we play a game???"

Long Yue asked out of the blue.

"What game is it???"

"Simple, we will look for a cloud and think about what it looks like. The closer our comparison to the shape of the clouds to reality, the better."

"So whoever has a better comparison of the clouds and real things, that would be the winner. Is that how the game goes???"

"Yep! You got it."

"Sure, that sounds fun to me.."

"Alright, I'll go first!"

"Okay, you first..."

"Brother Yan, look at the cloud over there..."

As he said that, Long Yue pointed up to the sky. The direction of his pointing finger points somewhere around the east part. Along Mu Lingxi's right side.

"You mean that one???"

Mu Lingxi said as she also pointed her finger above them. The two fingers almost touch each other as they points to one direction.

For some unknown reason, something told Mu Lingxi's brain to look at her left side. When she did, she saw Long Yue's face up close.

Coincidentally, at that exact moment that Mu Lingxi was looking at Long Yue, the other party's eyes also darted sideways.

Their eyes meet but instead of feeling embarra.s.sed for being caught, Mu Lingxi felt warmth from those eyes.

Long Yue was smiling back at her. His smile extends to his eyes and deep into his soul. His smile has a gentle touch on it.

It was so pure and it carries a childhood innocence that makes him look so vibrant and free.

Long Yue's childish nature could be annoying at times. But that is also what sets him apart from other men. Because his heart is pure and untainted.

Mu Lingxi also smiled back at him genuinely. With the same warmth as the other party's smile.

Tracing the direction of where their fingers were pointing at, a weird looking cloud lies ahead.

"Yeah, the one that is shaped like a rabbit..."

"Hmm... I think it looked to be more like..... a...GINGER!!!!"

"Su Yan??? Aren't ginger naturally comes with different shapes???? They all look abstract. All clouds will look like ginger if that is the case!"

"Technically saying, Yes. But you did not add 'being creative' in the mechanics of the game right?"

"Err.. you cheater.."

"Hahaha.. you looser.."
