Eternal Love 17 The Duel

Looking at this young man walking in, Ed thought, you just have to show off kid.

Nessa, on the other hand, was happy seeing Leo. She was really eager to duel with Leo.

Sarah, Travis and Gunther had one thought, He's so d.a.m.n handsome.

Edward: Are you ready kid?

Leo: (with a serious face) yes father.

Vanessa: dear, relax. We are bringing down our cultivation level to the n.o.bel knight lower realm. We just want to see how you would fair in a battle you have a little chance of winning.

Leo: (with a mysterious smile) I am ready when you are.

Edward: in that case, here we come.

Edward and Vanessa rushed towards Leo. Their swords clashed against each other. Leo jumped back, balanced himself on the floor and propelled himself towards his parents.

With a vertical slash, he slammed down on his parents. Edward and Vanessa blocked a sword each in the air and pushed back. Leo back flipped and landed on the floor. This time, his parents attacked first.

Edward came with a vertical slash and Vanessa with a horizontal slash. Leo parried their attacks attacks with his swords.

Sarah: OMG. No wonder the Duke and d.u.c.h.ess refused to listen to us about going easy on this kid.

Gunther: Looking at young master Leo, I feel so outmatched. He is up against the most skilled individuals in our continent and he is still fairing well.

In just two minutes, Leo had exchanged more than 50 moves with his parents.

Edward: you seem to be holding back

Leo was concentrating on defending his mothers attacks when he felt a cold chill behind him. Immediately, he used one sword to block his back and the other to parry his mothers' attack.

*clang* the swords in Leo's hand reverberated.

Reaffirming his grip on his swords, Leo infused mana into his legs and spinned around with his swords pointing out.

Both Edward and Vanessa flew back and landed close to each other.

Edward: nice counter. Where did you learn that move?

Leo: why thank you. It's a move that my father created.

Edward glanced at Vanessa and she nodded in response. Suddenly, there was a burst of mana from Edward and Vanessa.

Edward: Leo, let us show you the true powers of a knight.

As lightning bolt surged around Edward, boom!!. A full body armour, red in colour with blue patterns on it appeared on Edward. Also at Vanessas' end, as blue flames enveloped her, a blue armour with green patterns appeared on her.

Both of them threw the swords they were holding and a more dazzling sword materialized in their hands.

Vanessa: get ready Leo, here we come

Leo tightened his grip on his swords and focused on his parents.

*pfft*

They disappeared from where they were and appeared beside Leo, attacking him simultaneously.

*clang* *clang* *clang* *clang*

In just 5 seconds, they had exchanged about 30 moves with Leo.

Leo: *they are really fast. If I want to win, I have to also use my full power*

Edward stretched his hand, a seal appeared in front of his hand and a larger one appeared above Leo. Leo saw this and s.h.i.+fted to his left side. Immediately, a barrage of lightning struck were he was a few seconds ago. Before Leo could recover, Vanessa attacked. As swift as the wind, she appeared beside Leo and with a slanted slash, pounced on Leo. Leo tried blocking but the force from his moms attack overpowered him and he fell backwards.

Leo spat a mouth full of blood and smiled.

Leo: Finally, this is getting somewhere, Leo muttered.

Travis: whoa! Although, the difference in realm is obvious, but the young master is really doing well.

Sarah: I hope you all know that it's been over 15 minutes now?

Gunther: What!! No way.

Sarah: this is even more interesting than I antic.i.p.ated.

Travis and Gunther: True!!!

Gunther: so Sarah wins the bet right?!!

Travis: yeah, whatever. Talk to me when this duel is over please.

It's been 30 minutes into the duel and finally, Leo chooses to go all out.

Leo: Finally, this is getting somewhere.

Ed infused his mana into his sword and slashed at Leo. Instead of dodging, Leo stood still.

Boom!!

A loud explosion resounded inside the training ground. Dust covered the training ground. And boom, there was an outburst of mana from within the dust cloud. Sensing the mana surge, Ed and Nessa were already screaming;

Edward: h.e.l.l No!!!

Vanessa: Are you really my son???

Sensing the surge in mana from Leos' direction, Travis, Gunther and Sarah also let out shocking expressions.

Sarah: Must you always make us look useless?

Travis: Is he the devil?

Gunther: Monster.

As the dust cloud settled, a knight wearing a beautiful golden set of full body armour was standing there.

Leo: Oh, did I forget to mention? I stepped into the n.o.bel knight lower realm five days ago.

With a grin on his face, he threw the swords he was with to a side and summoned his swords.

He launched at his parents and attacked them simultaneously. This time, they were being pushed back.

Vanessa: *he is fast, d.a.m.n fast* Nice going son, you hid your cultivation. That's a good trump card you played.

Edward: Show me your capabilities as a knight kid.

*clang* *clang* *clang* *clang*

Leo jumped and gave his father a kick to the chest. Edward blocked but was pushed back. He launched himself at Leo almost immediately and slammed down with a vertical slash. As his sword was about to touch Leo, Leo disappeared from were he was and immediately, a giant seal appeared on the floor Edward had struck. Burn, Leo said, as yellow fire exploded and covered Ed.

A seal appeared above Ed and water poured out of the seal on him, quenching the fire. Vanessa appeared beside him and said,

Vanessa: If we continue like this, we are going to end up in a stalemate.

Edward: (who was now enjoying the thrills Leo gave him) Then lets increase our strength.

Vanessa smiled and agreed. Since he levelled up during the battle, what's stopping us from also levelling up?

Ed and Nessa launched at Leo. Leo got ready to block their attacks. But when they got to him, he noticed the surge in their strength.

Leo: n.o.ble knight high realm??? That's not fair!!

Vanessa: Expect the unexpected in life Leonardo. Life is not all sweet and smooth.

*clang* *clang* Ed and Nessa attached Leo and sent him flying. He landed and tried stabilizing himself on the ground but his parents appeared beside him and launched attacks at him.

As Edward and Vanessas' swords were about to strike Leo, two figures appeared beside Leo and blocked the incoming attacks, pus.h.i.+ng back Edward and Vanessa.

That's enough don't you think? One of the figures said to Ed and Nessa.

With a weary smile, Edward and Vanessa replied, " We got carried away ".

Seeing it was over, Leo fainted. He was really exhausted.
